About the careers day
Our flagship event for biosciences students was on Saturday 26th October at Middlesex University London
Building on the success of previous careers events, Bioscience Careers Day (BCD) welcomed students from across the UK. The event is coordinated by the Royal Society of Biology's Careers Committee.
What happened at the careers day?
- Talks from experts in the field about the variety of careers available to bioscience graduates
- Practice interviews to sharpen your technique for future employers
- Speed networking with the expert speakers
- An exhibition with representatives from learned societies and top organisations
- Networking with bioscience professionals and other students from across the UK
Who can attend?
BCD is aimed at undergraduate and Master's students. PhD students, postdocs, careers advisors and school/ college students considering a bioscience degree are also very welcome. Employers, if you would like to meet talented students focussed on their future careers, find out about our sponsorship and exhibition opportunities.
Programme
BCD took place from 10:30-16:30 with sessions on the detailed programme. We had talks from a range of speakers on careers in industry, plant science, patent law, science communication, academia, science policy and more. Check out top presentations from our past events.
